CAHEP’s mandate is to develop and implement inclusive, culturally diverse, high-quality arts and heritage intergenerational programming for Thunder Bayites of all ages.
We promote creativity-creative thinking as a crucial 21st-century competency; recognize the transformative possibilities of intergenerational arts and heritage projects; deliver online and in-person programming in our In-school and Community-Engaged Art Programs; stage public online and/or physical showcases of participants’ work; provide meaningful online and in-person professional development opportunities for Northwestern Ontario new generation, emerging, mid-career, and established diversely-situated artists; support artist-directed programming and/or participant-centred programming facilitated by artists; ensure accessible and inclusive online and in-person programming for participants; and, build partnerships with groups and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
